If I can look 50 when I’m 73, you can too!
My advice covers some very easy things and some that might be difficult.
I will be 73 March 18. You can send me birthday messages if you like because my life is truly a gift. I was given 6 months to live in 2008 and I’m still here!
1-Attitude. I know lots of things have happened in your life. Divorce, problems with family, kids that hurt or disappoint you, jobs and careers that don’t fulfill you… yes, all those things. You wear your disappointments on your face — unless you decide to let all that junk go. I know it’s not easy. But it takes practice to control your mind.
2-Gratitude. After releasing #1, begin a practice of gratitude. Every day mentally or physically, list all the things in your life that you love and feel grateful. Here’s a small sampling of my list: I’m so grateful that a series of things I did plus Divine Intervention fixed my broken heart. (Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy) I’m grateful that I found out this week my blood pressure was out of control, my meds were no longer working, and my heart is perfect — something easily fixed and my heart, a reason to keep rejoicing.
